A Chipman Genealogy pg. 69 says that James Chipman had married Charlotte Crockett Hutchinson, b. ca. 1780, dau. of Winder Crockett, and widow of James Hutchinson, about 1812 in Scott Co. Her first husband had died in Scott Co. in 1806. James Chipman is said to have died in Scott Co. on 23 Jan 1833. I cannot verify that date (although it fits with the facts), and he was certainly dead by the time Charlotte Chipman made her will (copy in my possession) on 13 November 1838; it was proved Feb 1839 in Fayette Co., KY. Although A Chipman Genealogy claims the couple had a son James Chipman, there is no mention of him in the will. Charlotte mentioned son Joseph V. Chipman, Greenberry Chipman, Elizabeth Chipman, Eliza Pritchard, Sally Heazelwood, Ann Menifee, Robert Hutchinson (deceased), Parker Hutchinson, Paulina Webb, and Sally Adams (deceased). .http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.organizations.mayflower/353.1.1.1...
