Virginia records show that Collin McKinney was a jury foreman in Washington County, Virginia on May 18, 1781.
Collin McKinney moved to Lincoln County, Kentucky before 1790, probably to McKinney Station, a private fort founded in 1779 or 1780 by Archibald and other McKinneys on the Kentucky frontier, located about 9 miles southwest from present Stanford, Kentucky. Collin McKinney died in Pulaski County (formed from Lincoln County in 1799), Kentucky in 1811.In his will which was proved in Pulaski County in May 1811, he mentions his wife, Rebeccah, and children: John, Catherine McKinney, Margaret Vanhook, George McKinney, William McKinney, James McKinney, Archibald Mckinney, Mary Burke.

Mordecai and Mary were married in 1713 in Bergen, NJ.
