JAMES DUNLOP

James Dunlop is the son of James Dunlop of Garnkirk and his wife Mary Ritchie [Glasgow and West of Scotland Family History Society Newsletter, No 48 Spring 1997, pp. 4-11 for the second and concluding part of Donald Whyte's scholarly account of the family of Dunlop of Garnkirk] He was born before 14 May 1755, probably at Garnkirk, the date upon which his baptism was registered at Cadder in Lanarakshire.
