James N Ford, Sr. (1775-1833) was a son of Philip Ford & Elizabeth Spalden Ford Prince.
Notorious Outlaw & Leader of the Ford's Ferry Gang in KY. The book entitled "Satan's Ferryman" was written about this man who lived a double life. He was a law-abiding, tax paying citizen & family man on one side & the leader of a marauding gang on the other.
James N Ford was married twice.
1st to Mary Susan Miles (1775-1820). They were married in 1800. Children listed:
2nd to Elizabeth W Armistead Frazier Ford (1790-1834). They married in 1829. Child listed:
His death is shrouded in mystery and his burial is in an unmarked grave in the Ford Cemetery #1, Tolu, Crittenden County, KY.
