Married 2.) 16 May 1816 Frances Grantham Rodgers (21 Jan 1795 -- 7 Feb 1883), daughter of Joseph Rodgers and Mary Amis.

His widow married Dr. Hugh Kelso Walker, son of John and Margaret (Kelso) Walker 18 Nov 1830 in Rogersville, Hawkins, TN.
