About James Gee
It is said that James Gee gave his daughter (Elizabeth) the middle name "Lucas" after his mother. I don't know James Gee's mother's name, but either her first or last (maiden) name must have been "Lucas". His father Neville is recorded as having been married in 1748 in Lunenburg County, Virginia.
James and his brother Jesse were the first Gees in Kentucky. They settled at Turkey Neck Bend near Center Point, on the Cumberland River.
