About James Jock "Jimmie" Giblin
Jimmie Jock GIBLIN was the sixth child born to John Henry GIBLIN and Mary Ann ARNDT. He was born on the family farm in Chehalis, Lewis Co, WA on 9 Oct 1901. He spent his early years at a lumberjack in Dryad, WA. He also worked as an electrician at the Puget Sound Naval Yard in Bremerton, Kitsap Co, WA during WWII. In 1949 Jim and his second wife, Eva Marie SMITH, moved to Peoria, Maricopa Co, AZ where they purchased a Shell Service Station. After their daughter was born, they moved back to Seattle for 3 years in the early 1950's, then back to Peoria where Jim died on 12 Apr 1958.
Jim's first marriage was to Blanche CLARK on 19 Nov 1921 in Lewis Co, WA. They had 2 daughters:
1. Aljean Blanche was born on 11 Sept 1922 in WA and died there on 18 Oct 1970.
2. Corena was born on 6 Oct 1927 in WA and died there on 19 July 1988.
Jim's second marriage was to Eva Marie SMITH, daughter of Peter Long SMITH and Flora Cosby MOSIER, on 26 Jan 1946 in Bremerton, Kitsap Co, WA. She was born on 9 Feb 1913 in Shaw, Neosho Co, KS and died on 12 Nov 1985 in Peoria, Maricopa Co, AZ. They had one daughter, born in Glendale, Maricopa Co, AZ.
Both Jim and Marie are buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale, Maricopa Co, AZ.
