Obituary: The Baltimore Sun March 12, 1892
Mr. James Madison Hite, aged sixty-seven years, well known as a real estate dealer, died of a complication of diseases Thursday at the home of his son, Mr. D.M. Hite, 1015 North Fulton avenue. Mr. Fulton was born Clarke county, Va., where he was a farmer until the war. He came to Baltimore about 1871, and for a number of years had a real estate office at the corner of St. Paul and Lexington streets. He was a great nephew of President Madison. His wife, who survives him, was Miss Harriet Meade, of Virginia, a niece of Bishop Meade.
