<p>JAMES L. IRWIN, 73, of Colorado Springs died Thursday in Colorado Springs. He was a retired civil service worker. He had worked at Peterson Air Force Base for 32 years. Visitation will be today from noon to 9 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Dr. Warren Hile officiating. Swan-Law Funeral Directors, Inc., is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Irwin was born Feb. 7, 1916 in Harrisburg, Ill. He had been a resident of the area since 1945. Mr. Irwin served in the U.S. Army from 1945 until 1946. Mr. Irwin married Hazel McServy in Colorado in 1959. She preceded him in death in 1984. excerpt from his obit</p>
