Disputed Origins

This profile was gedcom-imported as a nonexistent son of early Taunton resident Capt John Luther and his wife Elizabeth.

Despite extensive research by the Luther Family Association and WikITree member Larry Luther there is no evidence that the Great Migration-era immigrant John Luther had a son named James, nor did the John Luther of Bridport, Dorset (possibly the same man as John Luther of Taunton). So in any case, James never existed as a son of either man; he has been detached.

He is being merged away as there is no reason to track this profile seperately.

James Luther was born on March 8, 1693, in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts [1] [2]

He married Martha Slade, daughter of William & Sarah (Holmes) Slade, about 1715 at Swansea, Bristol, MA. Their children were: [3]
