He married his wife Hester Bogan 31 Dec 1811 Union, SC, and she is beside him. Many other family member in the cemetery.
NOTE: In 1821, James and Hester Martin moved from South Carolina to Jasper Co., GA and settled near Shady Dale. In 1831, they moved
to Randolph Co., GA. Five of seven sons became Baptist Preachers.
