About James Maxwell

James was a sealer of leather in Boston, where he was also a member of the Scots Charitable Society.

He is called James in his daughter Dorcas' birth records, but Cutter gives his name as Thomas. This might have been due to Cutter confusing him with Dorcas' husband, Thomas Stratton.
