ALERT STATUS: THERE IS SOME CONFUSION BETWEEN JAMES & RACHEL MC BEE (rin: 1219 & 3761) and his uncle & aunt, JAMES & SARAH (FARMER) MC BEE (rin: 1213 & 4033). Both individuals are recorded in family records as deceased about 1814, Clarke Co., Georgia.

BIRTH: Either Granville Co. NC or Halifax Co. VA.

LDS: BE, Batch # 8231909-15; previous sealing to James & Sarah McBEE not correct (16 Nov 1983, SL).

REMARKS: Family Group Record of children calculated from the Franklin Co., Georgia court records; but definate relationship not proven definitively. Received 100 acres of land from his father, 11 May 1776, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia; name of wife listed as RACHEL. Resided in Wilkes Co., Georgia about 1788. Sold land to William McBEE in Washington Co., Tennessee; wit: Labon & Israel McBEE in 1788. The letter from C. Red McBee dated 2-26-1983, lists the following known children: Laban, Elizabeth, Tabitha, and Hiram.
