About James Mitchell

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=17866224

Find a Grave site lists James as James Jr and notes he is Capt in Bedford Co Militia of Revolutionary War

ames Mitchell was the son of James Mitchell (ca. 1730-1797) and Elizabeth.

Fischer, Della R., "Tombstone Inscriptions of Cemeteries, Somerset County, Pa", McKeesport, PA: typescript, 1968-1977. vol.2, p359 (Old Jersey Cemetery) -- no mention of James Mitchell.

I also reviewed the original WPA Records (1933) of this cemetery, and there is no mention of any Mitchell's. While there are many tombstones noted as unreadable, this James may just as well be buried in Wharton Township, or simply an unknown grave.
