Find a Grave site lists James as James Jr and notes he is Capt in Bedford Co Militia of Revolutionary War
ames Mitchell was the son of James Mitchell (ca. 1730-1797) and Elizabeth.
I also reviewed the original WPA Records (1933) of this cemetery, and there is no mention of any Mitchell's. While there are many tombstones noted as unreadable, this James may just as well be buried in Wharton Township, or simply an unknown grave.
