About James Michael "Mike" Pianalto
Michael Pianalto passed away at age 77 from complications of dementia. He was a
Southern California native born to James and Capitola Pianalto.
He graduated from Arroyo High School in El Monte, California. In 1965 he was drafted
into the U.S Army and served almost two years in Germany. He was honorably discharged
in 1967 and went on to work at the U.S Navy Seabee Base in Port Hueneme. He then went
on to work at L.A. County Public Works for 30 years. He very proudly retired as a Fleet
Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife of 55 1/2 years Cecelia (Tusie), his daughter Andrea, his son Dwane,
daughter-in-law Schannon, 2 grandsons, Brett and Nolan, grand-daughter Tayler (Jacob) and two
great-grandsons, Donovan and Thomas, and soon to be great grand-daughter as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister Tony and brother-in-law Gilbert Carrillo and Pete Moreno.
Mike was very outgoing with a great sense of humor, and a kind and generous man. He lived his
last 43 years in Alta Loma, coached girls soccer for many years and was everybody's
mechanic.
Services will be held on May 21st at Riverside Memorial in Riverside, Calif.
