About James 'Radis' Radius Skaggs
In the early 50's James was called to serve for a 2 year term with the U.S. Army. Some of that time was spent in Germany. In 1958, James & Norma purchased the old Lookout School House. They made it into a weekend home. In 1968 Norma and the kids moved from the city to the country. James kept his job in the city, coming home on weekends. He worked for M.C. Slater Truck Lines for 32 years. They farmed and tended to his old home place on Big Shoal Creek.
