About James Spilman, of Westmoreland County
Not the same as James Spelman
Research Note
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Spilman-101
While the English judge Clement Spelman did have a son named James, no evidence found so far suggests that he married a woman called Martha or that she sailed to Virginia and had a son there around 1650. If this profile relates to a real person, his parents may probably have to be found elsewhere.
Biography
Son of Clement Spilman (?) and Martha Mason. Married Mary Flake. Father of Thomas Spillman.
