About James Trowbridge, Sr.,
James settled in Norwalk, Connecticut, was elected Tithingman in 1761 and grand juror in 1763.
He was a farmer, and also followed the trade of shoemaker.
After the Revolutionary War he moved to Sheffield, Mass. with several sons. His last years of life were spent with his eldest daughter at Tully, NY
