James Adams (1759-1843) REVOLUTIONARY WAR enlisted, 1778, in Capt. William Latham's company, Col. William Ledyard's Connecticut regiment. He was born in Groton, Conn.; died in Stephentown, N. Y.
His date of birth was Feb. 17, 1759 in Groton, New London county, Connecticut. His parents were James Adams Sr. and Mary Randall who were buried in the old Adams Cemetery, Stephentown, NY. Their tombstones are now in the hands of the Stephentown Historical Socitety Heritage Center.
