1st wife was Sarah 'Sally' Hibbard, daughter of Lemuel Hibbard, sister to Jedidiah.
2nd wife Phoebe Young, daughter of John Young and previous spouse of Joseph Johnson.
This land was donated by him for Wyatt's Chapel Church and Cemetery, and presume his first wife to be one of the first burials. Either had fieldstone, or stone was destroyed many years ago. He has several children, grandchildren and other descendants buried here.

1850 Laurel County Census shows 3 widowed daughters of James and Sally Hibbard Wyatt living in the same household.

This cemetery has numerous 'field stones.'
