John and Mary Lorbiecki: John was born in Poland and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 22, to Winona, Minnesota, where he worked in a sawmill. He married Mary Wika, age 18. They moved from Winona to Greenbush, settling in Polonia Township in 1899. They farmed, as well as owned the Leo store.
