About Jane Goldsmith
"Emily Jane's mother or maybe grandmother was probably a Goldsmith (related to poet Oliver!) or maybe Macdonnell..." - Bill Goodwillie.
In 1837 J. Goldsmith of Dublin acted as executor to the will of Jane Mills of the Diocese of Elphin. The only Jane Mills that seems possible is his wife's aunt Jane, but she was married: possibly the will was made before marriage or possibly she had married a Mr Mills. (The surname of her husband is blank in Journal of the Association for the Preservation for the Memorials of the Dead in Ireland, vol. X, p. 240-2.)
