About Jane Hamilton Cooper

Jane married Capt. Robert Cooper.

This gravesite was visited in May, 2000. It was located on the Solan Polk farm 1 1/2 mi N.E. of Clem, Jefferson Davis Co, Miss. Jane's and one other gravestone were in the woods. (Probably John H. Cooper, the child.) It seems the cemetary may have been located elsewhere and that more graves were there at one time. One book stated that the land was owned by Hamilton Cooper at the time Jane, his mother, died.

(One report states that Jane's son, Hamilton Cooper, is buried in the Elysian Fields Cemetery, Harrison County, Texas. Another report says this is not so.)
