!Ruhama Fagley thought her name might have been Mullins, but information from unknown relative in Maryland says Smullen. There were many Smullens but no Mullins in that part of Maryland at that time.

!Birth date from censuses and cemetery stone which gives her age (73) at time of death.

!Her father could have been Edmond's brother William (there were 4 unidentified females in that family). Leah was a widow with 5 other females in the house in the 1783 Tax List and I think it is possible that she was Jane's mother. It is all still to be proved. I settled on Edmond for the time being because her first daughter was Sarah - not Leah. Also William's known children were born much earlier than Jane.

!Instructions for locating her grave: Driving from the north into Laurel, turn right on Liberty Road. The cemetery is on the right and has 3 entrances. Take the center (main) entrance and drive up the slope. Turn left on the road at the top of the hill. Her grave is on the right (in the NE quadrant), about half way down and about 4 rows (45 feet) back. There is space on both sides of her and probably Thomas and maybe his second wife are buried there also.
