Jane Jones - Person ID I116074 - Early Colonial Settlers of Southern Maryland and Virginia's Northern Neck Counties

Jane Jones was born in about 1731 in Spotsylvania, Virginia (vs. Essex, VA), the daughter of Mary (Sharp, 1703-1766) and James Jones (1698-1778).
Jane married in about 1747-1751 in Spotsylvania, Virginia to Edward Collins (1729-1818), son of Susannah (Cook) and John Collins (1710-1793). Surname spelling variations include Jane Collins, Cullins, Collings.
In 1751 John Robinson gave land to his grandson, William Collins. Later William Collins of South Farnham Parish, Essex, Virginia sold 200 acres of land in St. George Parish (part of the tract granted to John Robinson) to James Haley of St. Thomas Parish, Orange, Virginia, with witnesses: Edward Collins, Lewis Collins, John Collins
Jane was named in the 1776 last Will of her father, James Jones.
Spotsylvania County Deed Book B, 1729-1734; Virginia County Records Vol. 1, by William Crozier, pg. 127:
pg. 46: Will of Benj. Davis, dated Jan 23, 1787, brother-in-law of Jane Jones Collins, witnessed by Martin Hawkins, with the executors being the wife of Benj. Davis and Edward Collins. It should be noted that the Hawkins land adjoined that of John Cook, father of Thomas Cook. Ann Cook, dau. of Thomas and grand daughter of John, married John Collins, father of Edward. Note also that Thomas Cook’s land joined that of the heirs of Thomas Collins in 1768.
She survived her husband, who died in about 1818 in Orange, Virginia.
