• Jane Morgan was born on 10 June 1731.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Morgan and Jane Colchester.2 She married Sir Charles Morgan, 1st Bt., son of King Gould, in February 1758.1 She died on 14 February 1797 at age 65.1

• Thomas Morgan (20 May 1702 – 12 April 1769) was a Welsh politician and lawyer of the 18th century.
• He was the younger son of John Morgan and his wife Martha. Thomas received the estate of Rhiwpera upon his father's death in 1720. He entered the House of Commons as Member of Parliament for Brecon in 1723, which he represented until 1734. Around 1726, he married Jane Colchester, the second daughter of Col. Maynard Colchester.[1] His children by her included:[2]

• In 1731, he succeeded his brother, Sir William Morgan, as Lord Lieutenant of Brecknockshire and Monmouthshire, and was appointed brigadier-general of the militia of those counties. In 1734, he was returned as MP for Monmouthshire, and in 1741 was appointed Judge Advocate General, by which he became known as "General Morgan". He was returned for Breconshire in 1747, and represented that county for the remainder of his life. Upon the death of his nephew William Morgan in 1763, he inherited the Tredegar Estate. In 1768, he resigned office of Judge Advocate General, and was succeeded by his deputy and son-in-law Charles Gould.[1]

• Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Charles Gould Morgan, 2nd Baronet (4 February 1760 – 5 December 1846), was a Welsh soldier and politician, the MP for Brecon (1787–1796) and later the County of Monmouth (1796–1831).
• Born to Sir Charles Morgan, 1st Baronet (originally Charles Gould) and Jane Morgan, he became a Captain in the Coldstream Guards. On retirement from the British Army to enable him to concentrate of the family estate, he became an MP for Brecon, and later the County of Monmouth.
• He married Mary Margaret Stoney in 1791, with whom he had eight children. He never remarried after her death in 1808.[1] In 1800, industrialist Samuel Homfray married his daughter Jane Morgan, and thus obtained a favorable lease of mineral land at Tredegar, where he established the Tredegar Ironworks.[2] Morgan was succeeded by his son, Charles Morgan, 1st Baron Tredegar.

Windham of Sandhills. 15. Morgan of Thurrow. 16. King Pelinor. 17. Auluch. 18. Marchel. 19. Sir Miles Pitcher. 20. 'As No. 1." Mr. John Morgan married Martha, daughter of Gwyn Vaughan of Trebarried ; she died 15 Oct. 1720. Issue: 1. Sir William, K. B., born 1700; M. P. for county 1722-27; will 3 April 1731 ; died 24 April 1731 ; married Rachel, eldest daughter of William, Duke of Devonshire ; she died 18 June, 1780, aet. 83.
