John Partridge of Navestock, Essex, England was not the same man as John Partridge of Olney, Buckinghamshire, whose son William and daughter Jane immigrated to Lynn and Salisbury, Massachusetts. None of the children of John of Navestock left England.
John was baptized at St. Thomas the Apostle on 14 September 1578, the son of Bartholmew and Purnell Green Partridge.[1]
John married Jane Hogg in London on 11 May 1619.[2] Their children were John, William, Jane and Margaret. [3]
John wrote his will on 1 October 1652.[4] Only Margaret and John were alive at that time. His daughter Jane had married John Lake and died shortly after childbirth in 1650, and son William had died as a young boy.[5] His wife Jane wrote her will in 1666, leaving bequests to her grandchildren, it seems only her daughter Margaret was living. [6]
