140-2. CAPT. JoHN2 PEARSON (Dea. John 140), born 27: 10 mo. 1644; married 14 Feb. 1670-1, Mary, daughter of John Pickard (145).

His will, dated 16 Nov., 1722, mentions wife, Mary, who is to be execu- trix; son Joseph; daughters Sarah Plummer, Dorcas Hobson, Jane Plummer and Rebecca Dole (Essex Probate, 313: 615).

149-2. BENJAMIN4 PLUMMER (Benjamin 149; Joseph of Newbury; Francis of Newbury), born 4 Mar., 1681-2; married 31 Dec., 1707, Jane, daughter of Capt. John Pearson (140-2); died 22 June, 1734, "of a kick from his horse." His will, dated 21 Oct., 1732, mentions wife, Jane; sons John, Benjamin and David; daughters Jane Wheeler, Hepsibah Plummer, Ednah Plummer, and Anna Plummer; wife, and son John, executors (Essex Probate, 321: 306.)

His widow, Jane, married (2) (int. 3 Nov., 1739) Jonathan Kimball of Bradford. Some opinion may be formed of their union from Jona- than's will, 16 Dec., 1747, wherein he says, "whereas my wife Jane has eloped from me and refuses to live with me I give her five shillings and a pair of leather gloves" (Essex Probate, 329: 47). "Widow Jane Kimbell died Nov. 9th 1771, in her 88th year" (Byfield Ch. R.).

December 31, 1707 -- Benjamin Plummer and Jane Pearson married at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. Jane was a daughter of Captain John and Mary (Pickard) Pearson of Rowley. [1]

October 5, 1731 -- Benjamin Plummer was chosen as an assessor at the first meeting of the Second parish (now Georgetown), Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province.

June 29, 1734 -- Benjamin Plummer died at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province one hour after being kicked by his hoirse; and was buried in the Byfield churchyard. [2]
