The KENT

In the spring of 1677 the Shinn family along with 230 Quakers left London on the ship Kent for West Jersey, now known as Burlington, New Jersey. Listed were;

• 1. Frances Sheene of Freckenham Parish, England
• 2. Clement Sheene b. 1593: m. Grace
• 3. John b. 1632; and Jane Shinn emigrated in 1678

Jane was greater then 82 years old when she died.

Arrived in the U.S. in 1678 aboard the "Kent" with 230 other Quakers. (from England)
