Daniel Stocking of Middletown, Ct., youngest son of the preceding, born April 14, 1677; died 1733; married, Aug. 27, 1700, Jane Mould, born —; died April 1, 1758, daughter of Hugh Mould of New London, Ct., born —-; died 1692, and Martha Coit (married June 11, 1662), daughter of John and Mary Jenners Coit of New London, Ct.

• 1. Capt. Joseph Stocking of Middletown, Ct., b. Feb. 27, 1703; m. (1), Dec. 20, 1726, Abigail Ranney. Children: Daniel, b. Jan. 18, 1728; m. Bethia Kirby, dau. of John Kirby of Middletown; Zebulon, who died young; Abigail, who married, Oct. 28, 1747, Thomas Goodwin. Capt. Joseph Stocking married (2) widow Hannah (Pitkin) Magee
• 2. Ebenezer Stocking, b. Nov. 23, 1704.
• 3. John Stocking, b. July 14, 1707
• 4. Jonathan Stocking, b. Oct. 1, 1709.
• 5. Jane Stocking, b. Dec. 19, 1711.
• 6. Elisha Stocking, b. March 25, 1714; m. (1) Rachel Ranney, (2) Margery Wilcox, (3) Thankful Butler.

Court Record, Page 83--22 February, 1732-3: Jane Stocking, widow, and Joseph Stocking refuse to take Adms., whereupon Adms. is granted to John Stocking, one of the sons of the deceased, who gave bond with Joseph Stow of Middletown.
