Jane Calvert was born on February 29, 1736 in Great Abington, Cambridge. Her parents were Felix Calvert, M.P. Wendover and Mary Calvert.

Jane married Thomas Western on May 7, 1759 in St. Georges, Hanover Square. Together they had the following children:
