About Janet Elizabeth Earman
Janet Elizabeth Earman, 87 of Harrisonburg, passed away June 5, 2015 at her home.
Janet was born December 6, 1927 in Rockingham County to the late John Edward & Ruth Landes Werner.
She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Post 632 Ladies Auxiliary, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge # 13.
She was a member of the Muhlenberg Lutheran Church in Harrisonburg, and retired in 1994 as a dispatcher for the James Madison University Police Dept. & loved her cats.
She was blessed with 54 years of marriage to Charles Ellsworth Earman, who preceded her in death November 16, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Harry Lee Werner and William Edward Werner, and a sister, Vivian Bell Jones.
Survivors include a nephew raised in their home, Daniel Masilek, and other nephews and a niece.
Pastor Bob Humphrey will conduct the funeral service 11am Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am Tuesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
