Janet Grant

(Janet Grant, who was married to Alexander Gordon of Strathavon, has been claimed as a daughter of James Grant of Freuchie, but she was more probably a daughter or sister of John Grant of Ballindalloch.)

Alexander Gordon, of Strathavon (Strathdoun), 1st of Cluny married the youngest daughter of John Grant of Grant, by whom he had four daughters and two sons:

•             1. Alexander                 d. young, leaving one daughter
•             2. John Who succeeded to Cluny, and was the ancestor of the families of  Cluny, Birsmoir, Pittendreich, and others
