Biographical Summary
"Sir James MacDonald, Baronet [S 1625] of Slate, and of Oransay, uncle and heir male; succeeded to the Baronetcy in 1720. He married firstly, Janet, widow of John Macleod of Talisker, daughter and heir of Alexander Macleod of Grishernish in Skye. He married secondly, Margaret, daughter of John MacDonald, of Castleton, by whom he had no issue. He died 1723, at Forres."
