Janet Peadie, here treated, is the daughter of James Peadie. Her father is identified as a skinner and burgess of Glasgow on 23 February 1660, in the burgess record of her first husband Robert Culane, Glasgow Burgesses: 159 and as a merchant, burgess and guild brother of Glasgow on 16 June 1691, in the burgess record of her second husband. Her father, James Peadie, skinner in Glasgow, was alive on 29 November 1649, Glasgow Burgesses: 131 but it appears that he died before 23 February 1660.
