Mrs. Reeve was born Sept. 22, 1911, in Muscoda, Wis., to Victor and Rosilia (Bille) Morisette. At the age of 23, she ventured north, arriving in Valdez via steamship in 1934. She worked as secretary for the Alaska Road Commission. In 1936, she married Robert "Bob" Reeve. They lived in Valdez, Nabesna and Fairbanks before settling in Anchorage in 1942. The family home on East 11th Avenue was, at that time, on the edge of the city limits. Mrs. Reeve served as Republican National Committeewoman for Alaska in the 1950s, and was a lifelong member of Pioneers of Alaska Auxiliary #4. She was secretary-treasurer of the family business, Reeve Aleutian Airways, and became chairwoman of the board upon her husband's death in 1980. She loved her family, her friends, her home, and her garden, according to her family.
