Obituary:
Jaunita Mae Penniston Bryeans, 98, Blue Springs, MO, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Funeral services will be Monday, July 27, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel at 10am with visitation from 9-10am at the chapel. Burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Diabetes Association.
Jaunita was born on June 20, 1911 in Stet, MO, the daughter of Roscoe Henry and Susanna (Tucker) Penniston. She was married August 21, 1932 to Fritz Hugh Bryeans in Glasgow, MO.
Jaunita was a member of the United Methodist Church in Peculiar, MO. She was very active in the Eastern Star from 1947 to 1995. She enjoyed volunteering with the Boys Home in Martin City and Harrisonville Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Hugh Patton and Henry Hyder; a daughter, Anna Louise Summers; and a great-great granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Sue Hutchins of Blue Springs; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren
