He was one of the few Jewish farmers in Poland. He obtained ownership of his land in 1861 when the Russian serfs were freed. His existence is known as the grandfather of Prof. Alexander M. Dushkin and the knowledge that his father William Dushkin and William Doniger (Jankielowicz) were first cousins.
