18 July 1607: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James VI, King of Scots, confirms that he has given certain lands to Jeanne Auchinlek, spouse to James Lockhart of Lee, for her lifetime. The lands conveyed included the eight merk land of Foulwode, the six merk land of Murgeland, the three pound land of Mehill and Littill Barochis, the twenty shilling land of Birkinheid, part of the twenty shilling land of old extent of Lie, the town and land of Wester Nemphlair, with the land called Thriepholme. 12 March 1611: Charter by which John, Archbishop of Glasgow confirms James Lockhart of Lee's possession of the lands and barony of Carstairs (with certain exceptions), to be held by James Lockhart of Lee and his lawfull male heirs by Jean Auchinleck, whom failing by his nearest male heir bearing the name and arms of Lockhart of Lee. 31 May 1611: Procuratory of Resignation by Williame Cockburne of Skirling, whereby, in terms of a contract (dated 1st May and registered in the Books of Council 5 June 1610) entered into between him with consent of Dame Jane Herries, his "guddame", and Jane Hammiltoun, his spouse, on the one part and James Lockhart of Lie, on the other part, he constituted Archibald Dowglas, macer, his procurator, for resigning the lands of Hewedes (formerly annexed to the barony of Skirling) lying in the parish of Carlouke and sheriffdom of Lanarke into the hands of the King in favour of the said James Lockhart, and the heirs male lawfully gotten betwixt him and the late Jane Weir, his spouse, whom failing, the heirs male lawfully gotten or to be gotten between him and Jane Auchinleck, his present spouse, whom failing, his nearest and lawful heirs male of the name of Lockhart and bearing the arms of the House of Lie, and his assignees whomsoever. At Edinburgh and Cannogait 31st May 1611. 24 August 1614: Instrument of Resignation, of the foundation place, and seat, houses, biggings, and yards adjacent thereto, which formerly pertained to the Friars Minorite called the Cordeleiris of Lanark, with an acre of land pertaining thereto, lying in Weitlandsyde, within the territory of the said burgh of Lanark, between the lands of David Blakie on the east, the lands of William Limpetlaw on the south; and also the lands called Threipholme, which are parts and pendicles of the 50s lands of West Nemphlar, lying within the sheriffdom of Lanark, in the hands of the Lords of the Privy Council, as in the hands of the King. In favour of Sir James Lokhairt of Ley Kt, and Dame Jane Auchinlek, his then spouse (spouse moderne), and the longest liver of them two, and the heirs male procreated or to be procreated between them; which failing, the nearest and lawful heirs of the said Sir James Lokhairt, bearing the arms and ensigns of the House of Ley, and his assignees whomsoever, proceeding on a Procuratory executed by the said Sir James. 28 and 30 October 1635: Charter granted by Robert Chancler, elder of Scheillhill, and Robert Chanclar, apparent of Scheillhill, his grandson, in favour of Jean Lockhart, (youngest daughter of Sir John Lockhart, elder of Lie, Kt, and Lady Jean Auchinleck his spouse), future spouse of the said Robert Chanclar, younger, in liferent, during all the days of her life, of the 13 oxgates of land above the Kirk of Quodquen, the 8 oxgates of land of Auld Maynes of Quodquen, and the 2 oxgates of land called Ramis Rowme, and the 2 oxgates of Hous of the Dyik all parts and portions of their half of the lands of Quodquen lying in the said barony of Carnwath: reserving to the said Robert Chansler elder, the liferent of the said lands above the Kirk of Quodquen, etc, during all the days of his life; and also reserving to Agnes Symontoun, his spouse, if she should happen to survive him, her liferent of Auld Maynes: to hold 'a me' of Robert Master of Dalzell, Baron of the barony of Carnwath, his heirs and successors, for the service of ward and relief.
