    Jean dit LeFrise became the Pater Familias of the family. This vigorous sire of 20 children (7 with first wife Anne COUTURE, 11 with second wife Genevieve VERDON)... was a captain of militia, a farmer, a fisherman and a coureur des bois at various stages in his colorful life. He finally settled in the Grondines where he seems to have ended his days.
