Further verification to the identification of this Jean Baptiste Turpin is the presence of his brother named Andre Turpin at this marriage. Jean Baptiste Turpin's age of 24 years places his birth date in 1707 which is the same as Marguerite Presseau's son Jean Baptiste Turpin.

Jean Baptiste Gauthier and Marguerite Presseau had another son named Jean Baptiste Gauthier. This Jean Baptiste Turpin was a witness at two of his marriages.
