About Jean Lynn Egan
Jean Lynn Egan, 75, of Melrose Circle, Tryon, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital.
She was born in Denver, the daughter of the late Norman L. Scott and Marion Buck Scott and the stepdaughter of the late Lynwood "Jack" Giacomini. She grew up in Seattle, and attended the University of Washington. She became part of the artistic community in New York City, culminating in a one-woman show in 1980 in Soho. After a brief sojourn in Key West, Fla., where she became an award-winning artist, she and her husband moved in 1992 to Tryon, where she was active in the Tryon arts community. She was also an avid animal lover.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Cy Egan; her daughter, Patricia Mary D'Arbanville of Los Angeles, Calif.; her son, Philip George D'Arbanville and his wife, Michele, of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren, Jesse Wayne Johnson, Emmelyn Jean Quinn, Alexandra Beatrice Quinn and Liam Patrick Quinn.
