Here is a brief history of Neuville , told the local newspaper:

The Lordship of Dombourg (Neuville) was given to Jean Bourdon December 12, 1653, to his son Jean-François Bourdon, who began to develop in 1667. She is named Dombourg said the Pointe-aux-Trembles. Dombourg name is an anagram of the name of Bourdon.

The main reasons for the rapid settlement of Neuville from 1667 are: Neuville is only a canoe tide of Quebec, and as the road at that time was the river, it was easy to come Neuville due to the tides. The Lord Jean Bourdon was an important figure and was a member of the Sovereign Council of New France, thus facilitating its reputation by the interests of tenants. Neuville that is built on three levels: the first is at sea level made it easy boarding on land and at other places, there is often a cliff several feet to reach the mainland . Neuville was considered a place where the earth gave a very strong performance so that the "granary of New France" was assigned. The wife of the Lord of Neuville Jean Bourdon, Anne Gasnier was devoted to the cause of bringing daughters of the King in New France and she made sure that many daughters of the King came to take husband to Neuville. In fact, Neuville is the place in New France when compared to the population, there was the most married daughters of the King. Over 48 daughters of the King there are a husband among the inhabitants of Neuville. The Lord Bourdon built a village mill from 1668 that his tenants can grind their grain by master carpenter Mathurin Morissette Then in early 1669 a church-chapel was built and since May 25, the Bishop of Quebec, Bishop Laval, just to celebrate the confirmation Dombourg (Neuville). They are missionaries from Quebec who come to offer the services of religion Dombourg. Thereafter, as soon as people settle in parishes to Batiscan, they are missionaries from Dombourg offering religious services all over the coast.

In 1679, registration of baptisms, marriages and burials in a register begins.

In 1680 the lordship was sold to Nicolas Dupont de Neuville and after that date, the Lordship named Neuville called the Pointe-aux-Trembles.
