  • 1701 Census of Port Royal≤br>::Emanuel HEBERT 50, Andree BRUN (wife) 55; Guillaume 21. "'Jean 19"',Jacques 18, Alexandre 14, Marguerite HEBERT 18; servant: Marie Levrin15; 1 gun, 2_ cattle, 10 sheep, 10 hogs, 12 arpents.
  • The Jean Hebert in the Port Royal census in 1707, living with his wife and one child under the age of 14 may be him, but since ages are not listed, it is difficult to be sure. He did have at least one child at that point, so it seemslikely. Meanwhile the Emmanuel and wife cited on the same census do not have any children. They may be Jean's parents. There is another Jean Hebert, but there are children over the age of 14 and a total of 7 children.
  • Only one of three census transcriptions examined for 1714 has an entry that appears to be him. It is unclear why the entry is missing fromthe others. Access to the original census would be helpful if anyone can access it.The 1714 Census at Acadian & French Canadian Ancestral Home show:::Jean Emmanuel HEBERT and his wife, 3 sons, 2 daughters in Port Royal. ::This would likely be his three sons, Charles, Pierre & Jean Baptisteand his 2 daughters, Magdeleine and Marie Josephe.
