h/o Marie Brun (b. 1710 Port Royal, Acadie d. Unknown) m. 24 Nov 1732 in Port Royal, Acadie. They had 13 children.
Jean-Baptiste was widowed between 1755 and 1763 in the turmoil which followed Le Grand Dérangement. He, and some of his children, eventually found refuge along the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in Québec. He died there (in his mid to late 60s) sometime between 1767 and 1774. Church documents clearly state that he was still alive in 1767 when his son Jean-Balthazar remarried; but when his sons François and Simon married (in 1774 and 1777 respectively), both marriage records stated that Jean-Baptiste was deceased.
