filles_du_roi genealogy. NOTE: There were two Filles du Roi with the name, Jeanne Chartier. The other one had two marriages: ROUSSET, Pierre and LAVERGNE François.
Sources for 1636 birth date...all the other entries for Jeanne indicate 1636. The one with the 1646 date could just be a typo. There's most likely only one sister in the family named Jeanne. It is possible that she could have been born in Tennie, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France with the rest of her siblings rather than Paris as above. SDBS

Historians and genealogists call it "Tec Aubry". that makes a lot even for an Irishman ... The name of Aubry will remain the name of one of the lines of this Irishman. born around 1632; He seems to be one of the first Irish to come to New France. In 1661 he was already considered an experienced farmer. He was working on the land of Urbain Tessier, when he was taken by a group of Iroquois, left alive, he was released seven months later. He was listed in 1663 as Thècle Cornelius Aubrenan, in 1667 as Tècle Cornelius, and in 1681 as Jacques Tecaubry.
Marriage contract by Notary Becquet dated 06/09/1670
Note: There are two women by the name of Jeanne Chartier who were Filles du roi, they should not be confused together, the other one married only once, to Tec (dit Tècle) Aubrenan and was born in 1636.
