Jeanne Savoie, fourth child of Francois Savoie and Catherine Le Jeune, born in 1657 at Port-Royal, Acadia, and married Etienne Pellerin at the age of 18. Etienne Pellerin died at Port-Royal 17 nov 1722 at 76. Jeanne Savoie died 3 nov 1722 at Port-Royal at age 78. This couple became the ancestors of an extraordinarily numerous posterity in Canada and the U.S., particularly around Louisianna. There is a detailed article on the Pellerin in the Apr-May-June 1981 issue of Memoires. They had five sons and five daughters: Madeleine 1676, Marie 1678, Pierre 1681, Anne 1683, Marguerite 1694, Charles 1696. Pierre died in infancy. But that still leaves four unaccounted for. All of the daughters married to Calve dit LaForge, Gaudent, Brun and Doucent. The sons married at Port-Royal: Jean-Baptiste II to Marie Martin in 1710, Bernard II to Marie-Marguerite in 1713, Alexander II to Jeanne Gaudet in 1713, Charles II to Madeleine Robichaud in 1725, dau of Prudent and Henriette Petitpas.
