Jefferson Davis Mills, 69, Monette, died Friday morning at 10 in the Community Methodist Hospital in Paragould. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Abner Blankenship American Legion Post 558 at Monette and the Assembly of God Church. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Monette 61 years, formerly of Osceola.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Dicey Farrar, Mrs. Lizzie Boyd, and Mrs. Mattie McCrackin, all of Monette; and two half sisters, Mrs. Mary Way, and Mrs. Martha Stephens, both of Monette.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 in Monette Assembly of God Church with Rev. S. S. Dean and Rev. H. L. Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Monette Cemetery with Gregg of Monette in charge.
