Birth: 1815, USA Death: unknown, USA
- Jemima Stamper
Her nickname was always Mama. It was used by all, not just her kids. Her nickname is listed this way in the Phipps books, red and green, as she was very well know to all in the community as such.
An excellent FaG researcher questioned correctly: "Mama" is not a nickname ... it is a relationship term. Do you think that every woman in the FAG database should be recorded with the "nickname" of whether they were called ... Mama, Mommy, Mom, Mother ? I have written to the edit dept before about other such cases & they have removed these non-nicknames"
