About Jenner Johnson

After immingrating w/ his family to Capron, Boone Co, IL, Jenner moved to Chicago and became a carpenter and bricklayer/mason. In 1885, he went to Montana with his Father, Halvor - when his mother wouldn't accept his fathers return after 20 years of absence from "gold fever". Oliver went with them for a while, then decided to go south to South Dakota and homestead with his family. Jenner continued on with his dad to Montana and settled at Drummond. He married Mary Ann abt 1885. They had 4 children.
Jenner retired to Fort Benton, where he died in 1929.
